From SS & GG
Hi KK,
One of the things that have been happening so far is the whole school assembly. At the whole school assembly we listened to the NZ national anthem and listened to the kids from NZ sing and they also made a speech. After that we did the usual certificates and awards thing and then we had a few other speeches. Irene and some yr. ones and twos sang songs by One Direction and the song Good Time and a song that we have no idea what it was called. Some people, like both of us, had to do ICAS. There will be free dress day and crazy hair day on Monday. Also KP and EA miss you. Hope you are having fun.
Hi SS and GG
Hope you’re ok. I’m on the ferry going to the island Mykonos. It’s going to take 4 hours to get there. We went for 4 days to Paralio Astro. We will be in Mykonos for 6 days and on the first on July we will be going to Santorini. How is the weather there? Here it’s about 38 degrees. Say hi to KP and EA for me!.
Hi KK
It is terrific to hear from you. We are feeling jealous that you are having such great weather. This morning when we arrived at school there was so much frost in the Prep playground CT and JW actually ice skated on it. It was so cold that when NF came to school the car couldn’t accelerate as fast as it usually does. It’s so cold that everyone runs to get a seat on the floor next to the heater. It’s so cold that NF drinks hot chocolate every morning. It’s so cold DK can see his breath when he gets out of the car in the morning. It’s so cold we had to watch Ice Age Continental Drift yesterday.

Hi 6MW
Were in Tripoli now with our relatives. We spent our last night in Crete and and had to take a ferrie to come toTripooli. We slept in our cabin.
In Santorini we went with a cable cart down a mountain side. Then we went up like 1,000 steps with a donkey. I’ve seen stuff here that I haven’t seen in Melbourne. For Example in Cafe’s when you order a cocktail the straws are like a meter long. One night I saw this guy and a Jerman Shepard on a motor bike .The dog had a leather jacket and glasses!.
We will talk again soon!
KK
Hi KK,
My goodness it sounds like you are having an interesting time. A dog on a motorbike with glasses & a jacket!!??
I hope you are taking lots of photos. You will have to bring some in to show us when you get back. We have all just come back for holidays but I don’t think anyone had as much fun as you. I certainly didn’t.
Take Care,
Mrs W
Hi 6MW
We went to Rome on the 25th. Then went to the Trevie fountain. Next day in the morning we went to the Spanish steps. That afternoon we met up with our tour group. That night we went to dinner and it was opposite the colosseum .The 27th in the morning we went to the veatican and Saint Peters basilica.then we went to the Sisteen chapel where Michael Angelo did all these paintings. In the afternoon we went to the Colosseum. It took them 8 years to build it. On the 28th we went to Sorrento then the Amalfie coast. On the 29th we went to Pompeii and then to Assisi. On the 30th we went to Venice and went on a gondola(the water really stunk). On the gondola we had this guy singing and the another guy was playing the accordion. The next day we spent a whole day in Venice. We went and saw a glass blowing demonstration of Murano glass. We then went to Saint Mark’s Square and went up on the clock tower. It was really nice but very hot. We’ve had a lot of gelati. Today we left Venice and went to Verona and saw Romeo and Juliet’s balcony. Mum was hoping she would see George Clooney which she didn’t. She was very upset. Tomorrow we’re going to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Florence.

Hi 6MW
On the fourth we came back from Italy. We drove to our grampas village it took 2 hours. We were there for 2 nights. Then we went to Nafplio .There’s a castle in the middle of the water where they took prisoners.Theres a beach with luke warm water. We have been swimming everyday.
KK
Hi 6MW
On the 10th we left Nafplio and went to my Grandpa’s village Sitena for seven days. Then we stayed in Tripoli till the 20th. We met up with our relatives and celebrated my mum’s birthday. After Tripoli we went to the island Zakinthos. We went on a whole day boat cruise around the island. We saw caves with crystal blue water, rocks that form Poseiden’s face and the famous shipwrecks. Then we went back to the village for two nights and said goodbye to our relatives and headed for Athens. We went to Plaka, Monastiraki and Licavitos which is a mountain in the middle of Athens that overlooks all of the city. Tommorow at 4:50 we fly out of Athens and back to Melbourne.
KK
Wow Kristina! You have had an amazing holiday and visited so many places around the Mediterranean Sea. As you can tell from our blog we have several new class members so our grade will be larger when you return and more culturally diverse.
You will be back in time to learn more about persuasive writing, learn about and apply your maths skills of area, perimeter and scale in the project, ‘Backyard Blueprint’ and you will also be back in time to learn about the history of Australia as a Nation (1900 – now).
Your family will also be back in time to vote in our Federal Election next Saturday.
We are all looking forward to seeing you again and hearing about your travel adventures and family reunions.
